The Taste

This is a textured wine with smooth tannins. The mouth sensation of this wine is full bodied and has good volume. The elegance of the Petit Verdot combines perfectly with the liveliness and freshness of the Carignan – achieving an in mouth sensation of great balance and tenor. The nose of this wine is slightly spicy, offering notes of raspberries, signature of the Carignan.

Amy- Another exceptional wine from Vultur. Rich, black fruit and spice with beautifully integrated oak.

Sam- An extended maceration period, natural fermentation and 14 months in French oak. Another limited release wine with only 1990 bottles produced. I love this wine, elegant, rich and complex. A must try!

  • Fermentation: Petit verdot handmaking wine in small batches, using soft punch down and gravitational move- ments, allows us to give our wines firstclass treatment. Most wine undergoes 30 days of maceration. 100% is aged in a second hand French oak barrels for 14 months. Carignan is manufactured in small tank. Following fermen- tation, a long pellicular maceration is carried out, completing a total period of 30 days in the tank. Unfiltered and unfined.

Vulture is a small, premium winery that pioneers minimum intervention during vinification, obtaining wines with character that express their terroir.

Daniel Miranda is a Chilean winemaker, agricultural engineer and oenologist who gained several years of wine making experience in Europe and New Zealand. After his time overseas he returned to his native Chile to be in charge of many research projects for the Chilean viticulture institute before starting his own venture ‘Globo Vultur’ where he combines traditional old world techniques to create award-winning new world wines.
