Martin’s Lane Vineyard, Crouch Valley Single Estate Pinot Gris 2016

The Taste

This finely-drawn Pinot Gris has a gently, floral character on the nose and on the palate shows a steely core wrapped by an exotic ripe pear fruit character, with excellent length and concentration, a true ‘vin de gastronomie’!

The Corky Verdict

Amy –Very delicate Pinot Gris, not packed with the sweetness you would normally associate with an Alsatian Pinot Gris, but it does have some sweetness from ripe fruit flavours and the aroma has some faint marzipan. I really enjoyed this wine with some spicy Chinese food.

Sam –Tropical fruit on the nose, good acidity and depth of flavour. A proper food wine that should be enjoyed with spicy foods.
