Domaine Coulange ‘Cuvée Mistral’ Côtes du Rhône 2019
Despite growing grapes on the family land since the 18th century, it was not until Christelle Coulange graduated in 1996 that the family started to make their own wine. 2016 is her twenty-third vintage. With each vintage, the ‘Cuvée Mistral’ blend remains similar, mostly Grenache with about 20% Syrah.
Smoky, spice and pepper on the nose with a touch of ripe strawberry. Soft, generous and fruity on the palate, a well rounded wine, perfect with meat dishes.
The Corky Verdict
Amy – A really well made Côtes du Rhône, very fruit driven.
Sam – We’re really impressed with this red, sweet ripe fruit, spice with soft tannins. Drinking beautifully now.
