Château des Annereaux Lalande-de-Pomerol 2006
Sophisticated with herbal notes, spice and fruit, with subtle chocolate notes and robust tannins. A long finish, with deep red fruit and hints of oak. A very different vintage from the 2007, this wine will drink well over the next few years.
The Corky Verdict
Amy –This vintage slightly fresher than the 2007 and very herbal on opening. Flavour wise, fruit with hints of tomato, spice and oak. Like the 2007, this is one of the nicest reds I have tried in a long time. I enjoyed this without food but I would pair it with really spicy Mexican food or cured meats.
Sam –This is a much stronger vintage than the 2007, with more ageing potential. Herbal, spice and robust tannin, this wine opens up after decanting for a short while with interesting chocolate notes coming through. It’s well worth trying our vertical tasting with both of our Lalande-de-Pomerols- it’s hard to believe how different they are!
